About Bitdefender
Bitdefender is a Romanian security and anti-virus software company. Founded in 2001, it is now a guardian over millions of consumer, business, and government environments and a trusted expert for eliminating threats, protecting privacy, and enabling cyber resiliency. As of 2021, Bitdefender employs more than 1,600 people. More than half of them are security researchers and engineers.
The Challenge
Growing at a very fast pace, Bitdefender had to set up offices in Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Iasi, Timisoara, Den Haag, California, and Florida. As both the team and the number of meeting spaces were expanding significantly, the challenge of finding an available room with the right amenities, in the right place, at the right time became a daunting task.
The Solution
The YAROOMS room booking system was deployed to make all company’s shared spaces readily available for staff across the globe, from their own devices. Each of the meeting rooms was paired with the YAROOMS room panel to show its real-time availability and enable booking on the spot.

In only 2 weeks, 64 rooms in 10 offices worldwide were connected to YAROOMS. In the same timeframe, 1,200 users were onboarded by integrating Bitdefender’s user management system. Today, Bitdefender’s employees in multiple company locations have all meeting rooms at arm’s reach — they benefit from autonomous scheduling, simple booking, and live availability.
