      Setting up the Meeting Room Display app on IAdea tablets

      Step by step guide to installing and configuring the meeting room display app on IAdea tablets

       

      If your device came preinstalled with YAROOMS Meeting Room Display (and you didn't factory reset it) then you can skip step B.

      If you already have devices configured in your YAROOMS tenant then you can skip step C.

      If you only need to update your existing install, step A. is enough, your existing configuration would continue to work.

       
       

      A. Let's install the YAROOMS Meeting Room Display app to the device:

      1. Prepare a USB stick with the meeting room display APK file. Alternatively, you can provide users with a short URL link to download the APK directly to the tablet.
      2. Reboot the tablet.
      3. Wait for the tablet to begin playing the content (when the play/pause symbol appears).
      4. Press the play/pause button.
      5. You'll arrive at a configuration screen.
      6. In the top-right of the screen you'll find an "Advanced" button, tap it.
      7. In the bottom-right of the screen there will be an empty corner -- tap it 3 times.
      8. You will arrive at the native Android home screen.
      9. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to open the Android applications menu.
      10. Insert the USB stick into the tablet.
      11. Find the "File Manager" app and open it.
      12. Switch from "Internal" storage to "USB."
      13. Find the APK file you added to the USB stick and click on it.
      14. Click on the "Install" button.
      The app should now be installed.
       

      B. Let's set it to autostart on boot:

      1. Get back to the Advanced settings screen (either hit the back button a few times or follow steps 1..6 again).
      2. Select Content option
      3. Remove the URL you added there (leave the field blank).
      4. Fill-in the Package Name with the value: com.yaroomsmeetingroomdisplay
       

      C. Now (on your laptop) let's go to the YAROOMS web app and create a device:

      1. Visit https://autotrader.eu.yarooms.com/
      2. Login
      3. Go to Settings > Integrations > Meeting Room Display
      4. Click on Add+
      5. Click on Show activation key
      6. Click on Continue
      7. Select the location, floor & the meeting room you want to use.
      8. Specify the Name or make note of it.
      9. Click on Save.
      10. You will be directed to the list of meeting room devices.
      11. Take note of the last column on the right, which contains the activation key
       

      D. Let's configure the app:

      1. Reboot the tablet.
      2. Wait for it to begin playing the content (the YAROOMS Meeting Room Display app should autostart).
      3. You will be presented with configuration screen.
      4. Fill-in the tenant URL: https://[account_domain].yarooms.com/api (use you company's Yarooms account URL)
      5. Fill-in the activation key from C.11.
      The setup should now be complete.
