Finding a colleague
This article explains how to find you colleagues in the office using the map or the timeline view.
You can use YAROOMS to find people only if your organization's visibility settings allow.
1. Find a colleague using the Map View
📌 The Map View (Workplace → Map) makes it easy to locate someone on the floor plan — just type their name in the search field to see where they’re sitting. It displays only real-time information, not future bookings.
Use the "Search or filter" field to locate your colleagues in the office. Simply enter what you are looking for (colleague's name) into the field.
YAROOMS will show the search results directly on the map: a window will pop up above the desk where the colleague is working. It will also include information about the length of his/her booking.
In the example, you can see that Lucas has booked the IT#1 desk for the whole day. If you would like to know if he has any more desk reservations today, go to the Timeline view.

2. Find a colleague using the Timeline View
🗓️ The Timeline View (Workplace → Timeline) is ideal for finding when someone is available — it displays both real-time and future information.
Use the "Search or filter" field, just as in the map view. Simply enter what you are looking for (colleague's name) into the field.
YAROOMS will show the search results directly on the timeline. You will be able to see at what time intervals and at what spaces the colleague has reservations.
In the example, you can see that Laura Jones has the Desk #2 booked from 8am to 12pm, and the Desk 8 booked from 1.30pm to 8pm.
