This article addresses users connecting to YAROOMS through external provisioning services (LDAP, SAML, SSO) who need to use the YAROOMS Door tablet app, YAROOMS Outlook Plugin, or raw API data.
While the connection to the WebApp is done with the email and the remote password, the API allows logging in solely with the email and the internal password.
Required Steps
For API access, users must:
- Contact a YAROOMS administrator within your organization
- Request that the administrator log into the WebApp
- Navigate to the Manage > Users section
- Reset the password assigned to your account
Important: This password reset only changes the internal password, not the remote one used for external authentication.
After Password Reset
Once an administrator has reset your internal password, you can connect to:
- YAROOMS Door
- YAROOMS Outlook Plugin
- API endpoints
using your email and the newly changed internal password.
After resetting your internal password you will be able to connect to the WebApp with either one of the remote or internal passwords.
